“In reality, we’ve always been a Component Content Management System – a content management system that stores content in discrete, reusable components instead of finished publications,” explains Xyleme Chief Operations Officer Leslie Farinella.
“Ultimately we realized that CCMS is a better descriptor of our platform, and since we provide all the features of a traditional LCMS as well, it’s really a CCMS designed for learning. We’re still committed to our vision to help Learning & Development (L&D) organizations create content at scale. Only now, we’re expanding our vision to include other groups outside of L&D such as customer and product education, field service operations, and marketing.”
