When Covid-19 hit, Allina Health’s Instructional Design Team was already understaffed and under resourced.
Suddenly, content demands were skyrocketing — Allina Health’s Instructional Design Manager estimates that the team created more than 200 pieces of content directly related to Covid-19 over the course of 2020 alone.
"We were down a few employees to begin with so we simply didn’t have enough FTEs to do what was being asked — let alone on a rushed timeline. With Xyleme, we were able to reuse and repackage existing content to educate an entire hospital population on vaccination procedures in a matter of days."
"We couldn't have done it without Xyleme."Deboarh Hardison, Instructional Design Manager
In a joint webinar on June 17, 2021, members of Allina Health’s Instructional Design team discussed:
- How they realigned and centralized content management across Allina Health’s 11 hospitals and more than 100 clinics to cut content development time by 66%.
- How they were able to reuse existing content to quickly create and deploy new content within hours of the requests being made.
- How creating content in Xyleme allowed them to achieve a reuse rate of 84%.
