Taking a 240 Hour a Week Distribution Effort Down to 5 Hours a
Week
The Challenge
Bridge International Academies was utilizing manual XML conversion as part of their workflow. The more Bridge grew, the more this was unsustainable. The system they’d designed when they operated in a single region didn’t seem to fit anymore, in a new era where they were operating in several.
Ensuring their educators have the latest updated lessons in a timely, accurate manner is pivotal to Bridge’s mission and commitment to its partners.
Thus, Bridge found themselves searching for a solution that would allow them to streamline this process.
The Solution
Previous to Xyleme, Bridge had a 6-step process before learning material could be published for consumption. Xyleme Studio allowed Bridge to narrow it down to 3 steps, and the streamlining continues.
In addition to removing manual conversions from the equation immediately, Xyleme also enabled easy maintenance of existing content as soon as Bridge migrated it to the platform. Finally, it enabled Bridge to accelerate distribution within each region.
There are 263 million children and young people not in school, the problem is too endemic to solve any other way. At Bridge, parents are the customers, and their model holds us accountable to those families’ needs and expectations. Xyleme is contributing to this model.
Bridge International Academies partners with governments, communities, teachers and parents to deliver education, and currently serves more than 520 nursery and primary schools across Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Liberia and India.
"Xyleme enabled us to take a 240 hour a week distribution effort down to 5 hours a week."
